CUSTOM PROJECT
VALMONT
INDUSTRIES
Valmont Industries’ $15 million factory in Bristol was engineered from the ground up around custom manufacturing systems. Explore how precision design and custom fabrication turned a basic build into a one-of-a-kind, performance-built facility.
01
Building Framework
At Valmont, the facility was engineered and designed around the manufacturing process. The building needed to house heavy-duty equipment, overhead cranes, and production lines with exact clearances. Every beam and column was engineered for load, precision, and safety. This was not a standard build. It was a custom facility designed to perform.

02
Custom Fabrication
The Spinner Pit was engineered and designed to support Valmont’s specialized pole molding process. Measuring 12 feet wide, 120 feet long, and 4 feet deep, it was constructed with reinforced concrete walls for strength and protection. The system allows molds to be placed on spinning wheels that evenly distribute concrete, making the pit essential to both safety and efficiency. Every detail was engineered for precision and durability to handle the demands of high-performance concrete spinning.

"The Pit"
The Pit was engineered and designed for Valmont’s concrete pole drying system. Measuring 40 by 130 feet and 18 feet tall, with five feet of concrete below, it allows air to circulate through the walls and pit to dry poles thoroughly and efficiently. Every detail was engineered for precision and durability.
