Don Shaum Sr.

Midstates was founded in 1975 by three partners, including Don Shaum Sr. By the early 1990s, Sr. had acquired full ownership, buying out the other two. The company’s core business centered on concrete and steel erection for manufacturing plants—its bread and butter.

Sr was deeply hands-on, running the company from the field and working shoulder-to-shoulder with the crew. He built Midstates on the values of hard work and integrity, earning respect as a man who kept his word.
